Medium: Performance, Video, Live Dome Projection
Duration: 15 min

pakone-kisik
is a live-cinema performance created for a dome projection space. pakone-kisik (meaning “hole in the sky” in nêhiyawewin) refers to the Pleiades star cluster. In nêhiyaw cosmology, pakone-kisik is a portal or doorway between our universe and the place that humans came from.

This multimedia performance uses live video feedback, liquid ink manipulation, and water cymatics in order to depict nêhiyaw star constellations and galactic supernova imagery. Created and performed as part of EMMEDIA’s 2026 Particle + Wave Media Arts Festival at the TELUS Spark Science Centre in Calgary AB.
